WHAT KA1 ARE

Key Action 1 (KA1) of Erasmus + allow INDIVIDUAL MOBILITY FOR STUDENTS AND SCHOOL STAFF.

Through key action 1 of the Erasmus + program it is possible to spend training periods abroad in one of the member countries of the European Union. Each school can involve students, teachers, internal staff to offer the opportunity to improve their professional profile and increase their skills. Even the school will be able to improve its educational offer and stand out for the opportunities offered to its students and to the own staff in Europe.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Students

Students from high schools and vocational training centers can participate from the first year of the course up to 12 months after graduation or qualification.

LEARN MORE

The activities foreseen by the program are two:

  • Periods of study abroad at institutions comparable to that of origin;
  • Internship period abroad at companies operating in the student’s field of study.

The activities can be carried out for periods from a minimum of 2 weeks to a maximum of 12 months.

During periods of mobility, the student acquires both technical and professional skills specific to the course of study and transversal skills.

Depending on the field of study, the student will improve the operation of the profession he/she intends to undertake, learning procedures and best practices to excel and make a difference both during the school period and at the end of the studies, thus facilitating entry into the job market. Experience abroad is a fundamental requirement to increase professional value and expand job prospects. The student will learn to be independent and to manage himself/herself abroad, improving his/her communication skills in English.

The program finances student mobility, fully covering costs for travel, individual support (food, accommodation and local transport during mobility based on the cost of living in the country of destination and the days of stay), special needs and accompanying persons (if adequately motivated), organizational support (expenses for insurance coverage, monitoring of participants, their selection and pedagogical, intercultural and linguistic preparation, validation of learning outcomes, dissemination activities) and exceptional costs adequately motivated.

For school staff (teachers, managers, administrative staff members)

Teaching and non-teaching staff from schools of all levels  (from kindergarten to high school, both public and private), vocational training centers and adult training center can participate. The activities can be carried out for periods from a minimum of 2 days to a maximum of 2 months.
